QMJHL Final: Dobson scores winner as Titan down Armada in Game 5

BOISBRIAND, Que. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan are a game away from moving on to the Memorial Cup after downing the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 5-3 in Game 5 of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final on Friday.

Noah Dobson supplied the game-winning goal for the Titan at 2:41 of the third period.

Samuel L’Italien, Michal Ivan, Ethan Crossman and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel also scored for the Titan, who now have a 3-2 series lead.

Joel Teasdale, Alexander Katerinakis and Charles-Antoine Giguere responded for the Armada.

Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 33 shots for Acadie-Bathurst. Emile Samson turned away 28 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.

The Armada went 1 for 4 on the power play. The Titan went 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

The Titan will have a shot at eliminating the Armada on home ice Sunday.

The winner of the best-of-seven final will advance to the four-team Memorial Cup tournament.
