CHARLOTTETOWN — Jimmy Oligny and Victor Provencher each scored twice on the power play Thursday as the P.E.I. Rocket defeated the Shawinigan Cataractes 6-2 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Alexis Pepin and Matthew Bursey also score for P.E.I. (11-5-1), which finished the night 4 for 6 with the man advantage.
Josh Currie had four assists for the Rocket, while Ben Duffy added three of his own.
Antoine Bibeau made 35 saves to get the win.
Felix-Antoine Bergeron had a goal and an assist for Shawinigan (2-12-2), while Jean-Christophe Houde also scored.
Marvin Cupper started in goal but stopped just 11-of-15 shots in the first period. Chase Gaudet made 21 saves the rest of the way.
Shawinigan finished the night 0 for 5 on the power play.
