SYDNEY, N.S. — Jean-Christophe Beaudin scored 1:12 into overtime to lift the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to a 6-5 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Francis Perron struck twice and added two assists for the Huskies (15-1-4), Martins Dzierkals had a goal and two helpers, and Gabriel Fontaine and Philippe Myers also scored.

Phelix Martineau had a hat trick for Cape Breton (9-8-3) and Clark Bishop scored twice, including the tying goal 17:35 into the third period to send the game to overtime.

Samuel Harvey made 19 saves for the win. Alexandre Belanger stopped 23 shots in the loss.

Rouyn-Noranda was 1 for 8 on the power play while the Screaming Eagles scored once on 11 chances with the man advantage.

FOREURS 2 ISLANDERS 1 (OT)

CHARLOTTETOWN — Julien Gauthier scored twice, including the winner 3:59 into overtime, as Val-d’Or topped the Islanders.

Etienne Montpetit made 43 saves to get the win for the Foreurs (11-7-3).

Oliver Cooper had the lone goal for Charlottetown (9-8-2) while Mason McDonald turned aside 32 shots.

REMPARTS 4 OLYMPIQUES 3

QUEBEC CITY — Zachery Moody scored the tiebreaking goal on a power play, 13:30 into the third period to lift the Remparts over Gatineau.

Bronson Beaton and Dmytro Timashov had a goal and an assist apiece for Quebec (10-7-2) and Matthew Boucher also scored.

Vincent Milot-Ouellet scored one goal and set up two more to lead the Olympiques (11-6-1). Alexandre Carrier and Anthony Gagnon supplied the rest of the offence.

ARMADA 5 VOLTIGEURS 1

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Kristian Pospisil scored three times to power the Armada over Drummondville.

T.J. Melancon had a goal and an assist for Blainville-Boisbriand (7-10-2) and Daven Castonguay rounded out the attack.

Michael Carcone supplied the offence for the Voltigeurs (11-9-0).
