Spencer Jezegou scored the winning goal with 1:10 left in the third period as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan edged the St. John’s Fog Devils 5-4 and take a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-seven QMJHL quarter-final.
The Titan drew first blood through Remi Blanchard’s marker half way into the first period. Luke Adam tied the game for the Fog Devils, but Tomas Svoboda restored Acadie-Bathurst’s lead before the period was over.
Tomy Joly extended the Titan’s lead early in the third period, but the teams headed to the dressing rooms tied after Maxime Pomerleau and Wesley Welcher scored for St. John’s.
In the final period, Mario Kempe gave the Fog Devils their first lead of the game, but Ryan Graham replied a little over two minutes later, setting the stage for Jezegou’s heroics.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Cape Breton 3 Lewiston 0; Saint John 7 P.E.I. 3; Chicoutimi 10 Quebec 1; Halifax 11 Victoriaville 1; Gatineau 9 Shawinigan 3; Rouyn-Noranda 9 Val-d’Or 0 and Rimouski 3 Baie-Comeau 0.
At Bathurst, N.B., Nicolas Champion made 30 saves for the Titan, while Timo Pielmeier turned away 25 shots.
Screaming Eagles 3 Maineiacs 0
At Sydney, N.S., Olivier Roy made 18 saves for the shutout as the Screaming Eagles blanked the Maineiacs to take a 2-0 series lead.
Nick MacNeil, Robert Slaney and Jeremy Gouchie scored for Cape Breton.
Jonathan Bernier made 40 saves for Lewiston.

Sea Dogs 7 Rocket 3
At Saint John, N.B., Ryan Sparling scored two goals and added three assists as the Sea Dogs beat the Rocket to take a 2-0 series lead.
Scott Howes chipped in with a goal and three assists for Saint John, while Keven Guerette-Charland, Christopher DiDomenico, Payton Liske and Alexandre Picard-Hooper also counted.
Matthew Lachaine, Bradley Gallant and Geoff Walker replied for P.E.I.
Travis Fullerton made 35 saves for the Sea Dogs, while Marc-Antoine Gelinas turned away 29 shots for the Rocket.

Sagueneens 10 Remparts 1
At Chicoutimi, Que., Nicolas Deschamps, Jacob Lagace and Marc-Andre Labelle all scored two goals as the Sagueneens crushed the Remparts to knot the series 1-1.
A second period brawl marred the game and saw Quebec goalie Jonathan Roy get a game misconduct. During the second intermission Mikael Audette dressed and he played in the third period. There were 118 total penalty minutes in the game.
Francis Pare, Olivier Painchaud, Charles-Antoine Messier and Francis Verreault-Paul also counted for Chicoutimi.
Maxime Lacroix replied for Quebec.
Francois Levesque and Bobby Nadeau combined to make 26 saves, while Roy, Audette and Kevin Desfosses combined to stop 36 shots.

Mooseheads 11 Tigres 1
At Halifax, Brad Marchand scored a goal and added three assists as the Mooseheads hammered the Tigres, taking a 2-0 series lead in their playoff quarter-final.
Bryce Swan and Guillaume Monast scored a pair for Halifax, while Tomas Knotek, Logan MacMillan, Justin Pender, Ryan Hillier, Andrew White and Yuri Cheremetiev also counted.
Jonathan Bonneau replied for Victoriaville.
Mark Yetman made 26 saves for the Mooseheads, while Tommy Legault and Kevin Poulin combined to stop 30 shots for the Tigres.

At Gatineau, Que., Matthew Pistilli and Jean-Philip Chabot both scored a pair to lead the Olympiques over the Cataractes to take a 2-0 series lead.
Claude Giroux, Steven Delisle, Travis Stacey, Michael Stinziani and Nicholas Valliere Mayer also counted for Gatineau.
Nicholas Petersen, Pierre-Alexandre Vandall and Sean Smyth replied for Shawinigan.
Ryan Mior made 17 saves for the Olympiques, while Kevin Maletto and Gabriel Girard combined to make 35 saves.
