QMJHL Roundup: Abbandonato, Harvey-Pinard lead Huskies over Phoenix

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. – Rafael Harvey-Pinard had a hat trick and Peter Abbandonato added two goals and an assist as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defeated the Sherbrooke Phoenix 6-3 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Patrik Hrehorcak also scored for the Huskies (25-5-0), who have won 10-of-11 games. Abbandonato leads the QMJHL with 17 goals and 55 points in 30 contests.

Oliver Okuliar, Bobby Dow and Patrick Guay found the back of the net for the Phoenix (17-11-2).

Samuel Harvey made 26 saves for Rouyn-Noranda as Brendan Cregan kicked out 27-of-32 shots shots for Sherbrooke.

The Huskies went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Phoenix went 0 for 2 with the man advantage.

ISLANDERS 3 REMPARTS 1

CHARLOTTETOWN — Daniel Hardie scored twice as the Islanders downed Quebec to run their point streak to 7-0-2.

Keith Getson also scored for Charlottetown (18-7-3). Matthew Welsh made 34 saves for the victory.

Pierrick Dube replied for the Remparts (13-12-6). Dereck Baribeau turned aside 27 shots in a losing cause.
