SHAWINIGAN, Que. – Justin Blanchette stopped 30 shots and Marc-Antoine Pepin’s first goal of the season stood as the winner as the Shawinigan Cataractes defeated the Quebec Remparts 4-1 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Pepin found the back of the net 9:43 into the first period to give Shawinigan (14-35-4) a 2-0 lead. Jeremy Martin scored 42 seconds earlier for the game’s first goal.
Mikael Robidoux and Charles Beaudoin, into an empty net, also scored for the Cataractes.
Samuel Dickner had the lone goal for the Remparts (22-21-10) late in the second period.
Quebec goaltender Carmine-Anthony Pagliarulo made 14 saves in the losing effort.
Shawinigan, which sits last in the Western Conference, snapped a two-game losing skid. The Remparts have lost three straight.
VOLTIGEURS 4 TITAN 3 (OT)
BATHURST, N.B. — Joseph Veleno scored his second goal of the game in overtime to lift Drummondville over the Titan.
Pavel Koltygin and Marc-Olivier Duquette also had goals for the Voltigeurs (40-10-2).
Alexandre David, Jesse Sutton and Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier found the back of the net for Acadie-Bathurst (7-41-3).
SEA DOGS 6 ISLANDERS 5 (OT)
SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Nicholas Deakin-Poot scored a hat trick and Filip Prikryl had the overtime winner as the Sea Dogs topped Charlottetown.
Maxim Cajkovic and Jeremie Poirier also scored for Saint John (12-36-4).
Hunter Drew struck twice with Thomas Casey, Jordan Maher and Liam Peyton rounding out the attack for the Islanders (29-17-6).
SCREAMING EAGLES 4 MOOSEHEADS 2
SYDNEY, N.S. — Shawn Boudrias had the winner as the Screaming Eagles got past Halifax.
Derek Gentile, Mitchell Balmas and Leon Gawanke supplied the rest of the offence for Cape Breton (32-16-5).
Antoine Morand and Jared McIsaac scored for the Mooseheads (37-12-3).

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Gabriel Fortier had two goals and an assist as Baie-Comeau routed the Armada.
Jordan Martel, Xavier Bouchard, Samuel L’Italien, Keenan MacIsaac, Pascal Corbeil and Nathan Legare also scored for the Drakkar (38-11-3).
Benjamin Corbeil replied with both goals for Blainville-Boisbriand (19-32-2).
HUSKIES 4 OLYMPIQUES 2
GATINEAU, Que. — Jakub Lauko scored twice and added an assist as Rouyn-Noranda doubled up the Olympiques.
Joel Teasdale and Peter Abbandonato also chipped in for the Huskies (47-7-1).
William Basque and Gabriel Bilodeau scored for Gatineau (19-28-5).
Rouyn-Noranda’s Mathieu Gagnon was given a match penalty for charging at 2:31 of the third period.
