QMJHL Roundup: Chisholm leads Titan over Islanders for first win

CHARLOTTETOWN — Logan Chisholm scored at 4:25 of overtime as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan edged the Charlottetown Islanders 3-2 on Thursday for their first win of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.

Liam Murphy and Alexis Sansfacon scored a little over three minutes apart in the second period to give the Titan (1-2-0) a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes. Noah Dobson, playing his first game since being returned from the New York Islanders, picked up an assist on his team’s first goal.

Daniel Hardie put the Islanders (2-1-1) on the board 38 seconds into the third and Colin Van Den Hurk forced the extra period when he scored at 17:42.

Mark Grametbauer made 38 saves for the win as Dakota Lund-Cornish turned aside 20-of-23 shots in a losing cause.

Acadie-Bathurst went 2 for 5 on the power play while Charlottetown failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

REMPARTS 2 TIGRES 1 (SO)

QUEBEC CITY — Andrew Coxhead scored the shootout winner to lift the Remparts over Victoriaville.

Pierrick Dube found the back of the net in regulation for Quebec (2-1-0) while Dereck Baribeau made 17 saves for the win.

Tristan Cote-Cazenave kicked out 33-of-34 shots for the Tigres (0-1-1), who got their lone goal from Simon Lafrance.
