SYDNEY, N.S. – Peyton Hoyt scored his second goal of the game 3:24 into overtime as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles downed the Charlottetown Islanders 4-3 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Isiah Campbell and Mathias Laferriere also scored for Cape Breton (30-27-7) and Ross MacDougall chipped in with three assists.
Sam King, Daniel Hardie and Pascal Aquin scored for the Islanders (34-23-7).
Screaming Eagles goaltender Kevin Mandolese turned away 44 shots while Charlottetown’s Matthew Welsh made 24 saves.
Cape Breton went 2 for 5 on the power play. The Islanders were scoreless on six chances with the man advantage.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Antoine Morand scored twice as Acadie-Bathurst beat the Sea Dogs.
