QMJHL Roundup: Kotkov, Houde lead Sagueneens past Tigres

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. – Vladislav Kotkov and Samuel Houde had two goals and an assist apiece as the Chicoutimi Sagueneens used a four-goal third period to beat the Victoriaville Tigres 7-4 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Hendrix Lapierre, Zachary Lavigne and Vincent Tremblay-Lapalme also scored for the Sagueneens (36-22-7).

Simon Lafrance struck twice for Victoriaville (29-32-5) with Egor Serdyuk and Samy Pare also chipping in.

Alexis Shank turned aside 37 shots for the win in net as Fabio Iacobo made 18 saves in defeat.

Chicoutimi was scoreless on three power plays and the Tigres went 2 for 5 with the man advantage.

OCEANIC 3 FOREURS 2 (SO)

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Dmitry Zavgorodniy scored the decisive goal in the shootout and added another in regulation as the Oceanic edged Val-d’Or.

Anthony Gagnon had the other goal in regulation for Rimouski (43-19-4).

Felix Boivin and Peyton Hoyt scored for the Foreurs (23-35-7).

DRAKKAR 5 CATARACTES 2

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Nathan Legare had the winner as Baie-Comeau used a four-goal third period to beat the Cataractes.

Dylan L’Italien, Ethan Crossman, Jordan Martel and Shawn Element supplied the rest of the offence for the Drakkar (47-14-4).

Jeremy Martin and Xavier Cormier responded late in the third for Shawinigan (14-47-4).

HUSKIES 3 PHOENIX 2

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Felix Bibeau scored the winner midway through the third period to lift Rouyn-Noranda over the Phoenix.

Tyler Hinam and Joel Teasdale also chipped in for the Huskies (56-8-1).

Benjamin Tardif and Bailey Peach had goals for Sherbrooke (34-26-5).

WILDCATS 3 MOOSEHEADS 2

MONCTON, N.B. — Jakob Pelletier and Jacob Hudson had power-play goals in the first period as the Wildcats topped Halifax.

Jordan Spence scored the winner in the second for Moncton (35-20-9).

Samuel Asselin and Arnaud Durandeau replied for the Mooseheads (46-15-3).

ISLANDERS 3 SCREAMING EAGLES 1

SYDNEY, N.S. — Zachary Beauregard broke a 1-1 tie at 13:03 of the third period as Charlottetown got past the Screaming Eagles.

Hunter Drew and Nikita Alexandrov, into an empty net, also scored for the Islanders (38-20-7).

Derek Gentile opened the scoring for Cape Breton (37-22-6) in the first period.

ARMADA 3 REMPARTS 2

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Tyler Hylland had two goals and an assist, including the winner, as the Armada edged Quebec.

Frederic Abraham also chipped in for Blainville-Boisbriand (25-38-2).

Nicolas Savoie and Edouard St-Laurent responded in the third period for the Remparts (27-26-12).
