QMJHL Roundup: Samuel gets shutout as Remparts beat Islanders

QUEBEC – Antoine Samuel stopped all 25 shots his way as the No. 8 Quebec Remparts blanked the No. 9 Charlottetown Islanders 3-0 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action.

Jesse Sutton scored to put Quebec ahead for good at 8:16 of the first period. Olivier Garneau and Pascal Laberge also scored for the Remparts, who evened the best-of-seven first-round series 1-1.

Matthew Welsh turned away 27 shots for Charlottetown, which hosts Game 3 on Wednesday.

The Remparts went 0 for 6 on the power play while the Islanders failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
