ROUYN NORANDA, Que. – Antoine Samuel stopped 33 shots and five different Quebec skaters found the back of the net as the Remparts downed the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Olivier Garneau scored the eventual winner on a power play 19:23 into the first period and Pierrick Dube, Jeremy Laframboise, Matthew Grouchy and Christian Huntley also scored for the Remparts (37-21-6).
Peter Abbandonato had the lone goal for Rouyn-Noranda (35-19-10), which got 31 saves from Zachary Emond.
Mathieu Boucher of the Huskies was given a match penalty for checking to the head at 15:10 of the first period.
Quebec was 3 for 8 on the power play while the Huskies failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
