SYDNEY, N.S. — Derek Gentile and Egor Sokolov scored in the shootout as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Moncton Wildcats 4-3 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Sokolov capped a three-goal third period for Cape Breton (22-12-2) with the tying goal at 15:13. Mitchell Balmas had the other two at 7:50 and 11:06.
Kyle Foreman, Charles-Antoine Giguere and Elliot Desnoyers scored in the second period for the Wildcats (23-10-4).
Screaming Eagles goaltender Kevin Mandolese stopped 25 shots. Moncton’s Francis Leclerc made 27 saves.
Cape Breton was 2 for 7 on the power play while the Wildcats scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — James White scored a hat trick to power Saint John over the Titan.
William Poirier, Alex Drover and Nicholas Deakin-Poot also scored for the Sea Dogs (6-26-3).
Mathieu Desgagnes scored replied for Acadie-Bathurst (6-27-1).

CHARLOTTETOWN — Thomas Casey scored a goal into an empty net and set up two others as the Islanders topped Halifax.
Nikita Alexandrov, Drew Johnston, Daniel Hardie and Noah Laaouan also scored for Charlottetown (21-10-3).
Raphael Lavoie and Samuel Asselin supplied the offence for the Mooseheads (24-8-2).

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Egor Serdyuk had a goal and three assists to lead the Tigres over Shawinigan.
Simon Lafrance, Samy Pare, Olivier Mathieu and Tyler Boivin provided the rest of the offence for Victoriaville (14-18-3).
Max-Antoine Melancon, Vincent Senez and Charles Beaudoin scored for the Cataractes (8-23-3).

QUEBEC CITY — Taro Jentzsch scored 4:22 into overtime as Sherbrooke capped a rally from three goals down to beat the Remparts.
Bobby Dow scored twice, including the tying goal 18:36 into the third period for the Phoenix (20-13-2). Jaxon Bellamy, Julien Anctil, Olivier Crete-Belzile and Yann-Felix Lapointe rounded out the attack.
Thomas Caron led Quebec (15-13-7) with a hat trick. Jeremy Laframboise, Pierrick Dube and Gabriel Montreuil also scored.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Jesse Sutton scored his second of the game 2:56 into overtime to lift the Sagueneens over Rimouski.
Sutton scored the game’s first goal on a power play in the second period for Chicoutimi (16-13-7).
D’Artagnan Joly tied the game for the Oceanic (21-11-3) with under three minutes remaining in the third.

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Dawson Mercer scored 1:47 into the extra frame as Dummondville beat the Drakkar.
Brandon Skubel tied it late in the third and Thomas Pelletier and Pavel Koltygin also scored for the Voltigeurs (26-7-1).
Shawn Element scored twice to lead Baie-Comeau (23-9-3) and Nathan Legare also scored.

GATINEAU, Que. — Metis Roelens scored twice as Gatineau downed Val-d’Or.
Chris McQuaid and Andre Simard rounded out the scoring for the Olympiques (13-18-3). Yan Dion had the lone goal for the Foreurs (12-19-4).
Creed Jones kicked out 28 shots for Gatineau. Jonathan Lemieux turned away 39 shots for Val-d’Or.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Felix Bibeau scored the game-winner while shorthanded goal and added an assist as Rouyn-Noranda doubled up Blainville-Boisbriand.
Louis-Filip Cote, Ryan MacLellan and Rafael Harvey-Pinard also got on the scoresheet for the Huskies (29-6-1). Samuel Bolduc and Joel Teasdale replied for the Armada (15-18-1).
Samuel Harvey turned away 21 shots for Rouyn-Noranda. Gabriel Waked stopped 24 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.
