It’s been a historic week for former National Hockey League great Patrick Roy.
Dmitri Kugryshev and Kelsey Tessier scored in the shootout to give the Quebec Remparts a 6-5 victory over the Rimouski Oceanic in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.
The game was Patrick Roy’s 194th win as head coach of the Quebec Remparts. It ties him with Guy Chouinard for most coaching victories with the franchise.
It was the second memorable moment for Roy this week. Friday night he took part in the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.
Roy purchased the Remparts in 1997 with business partners Michel Cadrin and Jacques Tanguay. He moved behind the bench Sept. 29, 2005.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Victoriaville 3 Chicoutimi 0; Shawinigan 6 Drummondville 3; Saint John 8 Lewiston 3; Moncton 5 Cape Breton 4; Baie-Comeau 6 Rouyn-Noranda 2; and Val-d’Or 4 Montreal 1.
At Quebec City, Dmitri Kugryshev scored twice in regulation for Quebec (20-7-5), while Mikhail Stefanovich, David Gilbert and Kelsey Tessier also had markers.
Petr Straka and Jordan Caron both scored twice for Rimouski (15-13-5), while Gleason Fournier tied the game late in the third to force the shoot out.

At Victoriaville, Que., Kevin Poulin made 21 saves for the Tigres as they blanked Chicoutimi.
Maxim Lamarche had a goal and two assists for Victoriaville (22-8-2), while Joel Chouinard and Tomas Kubalik added singles.
Christopher Gibson stopped 20 shots for the Sagueneens (11-12-7).

Cataractes 6 Voltigeurs 3
At Shawinigan, Que., Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Philippe Paradis scored twice and added an assist as the Cataractes doubled Drummondville.
Pierre-Alexandre Vandall also had a pair for Shawinigan (17-11-3), Dave Labrecque and Pierrick Martel had markers.
Mathieu Milse, Alexandre Comtois and Andrew Randazzo scored for the Voltigeurs (21-9-2).

Sea Dogs 8 Maineiacs 3
At Saint John, N.B., Michael Kirkpatrick scored twice and added an assist as the Sea Dogs rolled Lewiston and won their 20th game in a row.
Tomas Jurco, Mike Hoffman, Nicholas Petersen, Nicholas Pard, Danick Gauthier and Jonathan Huberdeau all scored for Saint John (28-4-1).
Etienne Brodeur, Jean-Francois Plante and Billy Lacasse replied for the Maineiacs (10-20-1).

Wildcats 5 Screaming Eagles 4
At Sydney, N.S., Devon MacAusland scored the winner as Moncton edged Cape Breton.
Brandon Gormley opened scoring for the Wildcats (17-10-3), while Ted Stephens, Daniel Pettersson and Allain Saulnier also had goals.
Viktor Hertzberg, Luke Adam, Taylor MacDougall and Stephen Horyl all had singles for the Screaming Eagles (17-11-5).

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Guillaume Goulet had a goal and two assists as the Drakkar sailed by Rouyn-Noranda.
Simon Olsson, Antoine Laperriere, Maxime Renaud, Simon Darveau and Marc-Olivier Mimar all had singles for Baie-Comeau (10-18-3).
Jean-Sebastien Berube and Philippe Cornet scored for the Huskies (19-13-3).

Foreurs 4 Junior 1
At Verdun, Que., Samuel Morneau had the eventual winner as Val-d’Or topped Montreal.
Simon Lacroix opened scoring for the Foreurs (11-18-2), while Olivier Dallaire and Marco Scandella also had markers.
Louis-Marc Aubry was the lone scorer for the Junior (14-15-2).
