QMJHL Roundup: Teasdale keeps Huskies win streak alive

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Joel Teasdale kept the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies’ win streak alive on Friday night.

Teasdale tied the game at 19:27 of the third period before scoring in overtime as Rouyn-Noranda came from behind to beat the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 4-3, extending its win streak to 16 games in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The Huskies (46-7-1), who are ranked No. 1 in the CHL, trailed 3-1 after two periods, but Alex Beaucage started the comeback with a goal 5:27 into the third.

William Rouleau also scored while Zachary Emond turned aside 23 shots for Rouyn-Noranda.

Alexander Katerinakis, Simon Pinard and Thomas Lacombe built up a two-goal lead for the Armada (19-31-2).

Brendan Cregan kicked out 40 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.

The Huskies went 2 for 8 on the power play while the Armada went 1 for 5 with the man advantage.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Francis Leclerc stopped all 37 shots his way as Moncton blanked Cape Breton.

Jeremy McKenna, Mika Cyr, Zachary Alchorn and Jacob Hudson scored for the Wildcats (27-18-7).

William Grimard kicked out 16-of-19 shots for the Screaming Eagles (31-16-5).

CHARLOTTETOWN — Olivier Rodrigue turned away 32 shots as Drummondville shutout the Islanders.

Nicolas Guay and Felix Lauzon supplied the Voltigeurs (39-10-2) offence.

Matthew Welsh stopped 32-of-33 shots for Charlottetown (29-17-5).

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Felix Robert had a goal and three assists as the Phoenix got by Val-d’Or.

Benjamin Tardif, Oliver Okuliar, Taro Jentzsch, Bailey Peach, Michael Kemp and Nathael Roy also scored while Thommy Monette made 20 saves for Sherbrooke (30-20-2).

Peyton Hoyt, Yan Dion, David Noel and Julien Tessier replied for the Foreurs (17-31-5). Mathieu Marquis turned aside 47-of-54 shots in a losing cause.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Mathieu Sevigny and Olivier Mathieu scored less than two minutes apart in the second as Victoriaville toppled the Sagueens.

Tristan Cote-Cazenave stopped 22 shots to earn the shutout for the Tigres (21-28-4).

Alexis Shank kicked out 20 shots for Chicoutimi (26-20-7).

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Alexis Lafreniere had two goals and two assists as Rimouski blanked the Cataractes for its 11th win in a row.

Colten Ellis had 19 saves while Olivier Garneau and Jimmy Huntington also scored for the Oceanic (36-14-3).

Antoine Coulombe turned away 12 shots for Shawinigan (13-35-4).
