QMJHL Roundup: Voltigeurs down Remparts to extend point streak to 14 games


QUEBEC — Anthony Morrone turned aside 26 shots as the Drummondville Voltigeurs ran their point streak to 14 games with a 4-1 victory over the Quebec Remparts on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Xavier Simoneau, Brandon Skubel, Marc-Olivier Duquette and Pavel Koltygin supplied the offence for the Voltigeurs (47-10-3), who are 12-0-2 on their current run.

Joe Veleno tacked on two assists to give him a league-leading 98 points in 51 contests.

Philipp Kurashev found the back of the net for the Remparts (24-24-12), who got 26 saves from Carmine-Anthony Pagliarulo.

Drummondville didn’t get any power-play opportunities while Quebec was 0 for 3 with the man advantage.
