Report: Armada acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois in QMJHL blockbuster

Columbus Blue Jackets third-overall pick Pierre-Luc Dubois goes bar down to win. Antoine Morand, What do you do to win? #WhatToWin.

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada have acquired forward Pierre-Luc Dubois from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, according to a report from TVA Sports reporter Mikael Lalancette.

Lalancette said in a tweet on Sunday that the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League deal would be completed once the league’s trade period opens on Dec. 18. Details of the trade won’t be known until that time, according to Lalancette.

Dubois, who was drafted third overall in the 2016 NHL Draft, has played 20 games this season for the Screaming Eagles with six goals and 12 assists.

Blainville-Boisbriand is tied with the Saint John Sea Dogs atop the QMJHL standings with 20-7-4 records.

Lalancette says that the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies also made an offer for Dubois, although it wasn’t as good as the Armada’s.
