QMJHL: Vincent Lanoue lifts Tigres over Voltigeurs; take series lead

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. – Vincent Lanoue’s power-play goal was the eventual winner as the Victoriaville Tigres held on for a 5-4 win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Monday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Victoriaville now has a 2-1 series lead.

Lanoue scored with two seconds remaining in the middle period. Simon Lafrance, Justin Pare, Ivan Kosorenkov and Chase Harwell also scored for the Tigres.

Connor Bramwell, Joe Veleno, Morgan Adams-Moisan and Yvan Mongo replied for the Voltigeurs.

Etienne Montpetit turned away 27 shots for Victoriaville. Olivier Rodrigue turned aside 14 shots for Drummondville.

Victoriaville was 1 for 3 on the power play and the Voltigeurs were 2 for 4 with the man advantage.
