SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – Brett Howden scored 2:49 into overtime as the Moose Jaw Warriors edged the Swift Current Broncos 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
Moose Jaw now leads the best-of-seven quarterfinal 2-1.
Brayden Burke struck twice in regulation time for Moose Jaw, while Jayden Halbgewachs also found the back of the net and Brody Willms made 20 saves for the win.
Glenn Gawdin, Matteo Gennaro and Artyom Minulin scored for the Broncos, while Stuart Skinner stopped 27 shots.
The Warriors were 1 for 4 on the power play and Swift Current was 2 for 3 on the man advantage.

WHEAT KINGS 5 HURRICANES 4
BRANDON, Man. — Luka Burzan had a pair of goals as the Wheat Kings beat Lethbridge.
The Hurricanes lead the playoff series 2-1.
Stelio Mattheos put away the eventual winner in the final minute of the second period, while Linden McCorrister and Ty Lewis also scored for the Brandon. Dylan Myskiw turned away 35 shots for the win.
Brad Morrison scored twice for Lethbridge, while Logan Barlage and Calen Addison chipped in as well. Logan Flodell turned aside 35 shots for Lethbridge.

SILVERTIPS 6 WINTERHAWKS 2
PORTLAND, Ore. — Riley Sutter scored twice, including the first-period winner, as Everett downed the Winterhawks.
The victory gives Everett a 2-1 series lead.
Bryce Kindopp, Reece Vitelli, Martin Fasko-Rudas and Connor Dewar rounded out the attack for the Silvertips. Carter Hart made 40 saves for the win.
Dennis Cholowski and Kieffer Bellows scored for the Winterhawks, as Cole Kehler kicked out 22-of-27 shots for Portland.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Morgan Geekie had a hat trick as Tri-City eked out a win over Victoria.
The Americans have a commanding 3-0 lead in the seven-game series.
Michael Rasmussen’s empty net goal with 45 minutes left to play was the eventual winner for Tri-City. Nolan Yaremko and Dylan Coghlan also scored for the Americans, who got 27 saves from Patrick Dea.
Igor Martynov, Tarun Fizer, Lane Zablocki, Dante Hannoun and Andrei Grishakov responded for the Royals. Griffen Outhouse stopped 25-of-30 shots.
