SPOKANE, Wash. – Jaret Anderson-Dolan had a goal and three assists as the Spokane Chiefs downed the Tri-City Americans 6-1 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.
Nik Andersen, Taylor Ross and Markson Bechtold gave the Chiefs (31-27-9) a 3-0 lead after the first period. Anderson-Dolan, Keanu Yamamoto and Dominic Zwerger added goals in the second while Tyson Helgesen tacked on three assists.
Parker Bowles had a short-handed goal in the second for Tri-City (31-34-3).
Tyson Verhelst made 30 saves for the win in net. Nicholas Sanders kicked out 2-of-5 shots before giving the net to Evan Sarthou, who played 50:48 in relief and stopped 25 shots.
Maxwell James of the Americans was ejected at 6:19 of the second period after receiving a minor penalty for cross checking and a double minor for roughing.
Spokane was 1 for 4 on the power play, with Tri-City going scoreless on six attempts.
