WHL Roundup: Bajkov’s hat trick leads Silvertips over Americans in Game 3

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Patrick Bajkov scored three goals, including the tiebreaker early in the third period, to power the Everett Silvertips over the Tri-City Americans 8-4 on Monday in Game 3 of their Western Hockey League semifinal.

Garrett Pilon had a goal and two assists for Everett, which leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Ian Walker, Martin Fasko-Rudas, Reece Vitelli and Connor Dewar rounded out the offence.

Michal Rasmussen paced the Americans’ offence with two goals and one assist. Juuso Valimaki and Isaac Johnson also scored.

Silvertips goaltender Carter Hart stopped 29 shots. Tri-City’s Patrick Dea and Beck Warm combined on 20 saves.

The Americans host Game 4 on Thursday.
