BRANDON, Man. — Luka Burzan scored twice in regulation, then added the shootout winner as the Brandon Wheat Kings edged the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-4 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Evan Weinger and Ty Lewis rounded out the scoring for Brandon (40-27-5) in regulation and Stelio Mattheos also scored in the shootout.
Branden Klatt and Tanner Jeannot provided the offence for the Warriors (52-15-5) with two goals apiece. Justin Almeida had Moose Jaw’s lone shootout goal.
Wheat Kings goaltender Dylan Myskiw turned away 17 shots. Adam Evanoff made 30 saves for the Warriors.
Brandon was 1 for 5 on the power play while Moose Jaw was scoreless on two chances with the man advantage.

SASKATOON — Max Gerlach scored a hat trick as the Blades slipped past Prince Albert.
Evan Fiala’s empty-net goal 17:09 into the third period stood as the winner. Mark Rubinchik also scored for Saskatoon (35-33-4).
Sergei Sapego led the Raiders (32-27-11) with two goals. Spencer Moe and Curtis Miske had the others.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Logan Barlage scored the go-ahead goal 1:14 into the third period as Lethbridge rallied from two-goals down to beat the Tigers.
Zachary Cox and Jordy Bellerive also scored for the Hurricanes (33-33-6).
Tyler Preziuso had both goals for Medicine Hat (36-28-8).
