MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Jayden Halbgewachs had three goals and two assists as the league-leading Moose Jaw Warriors downed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-2 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.
Justin Almeida, Brandon Schuldhaus and Brett Howden also scored for the Warriors (49-14-3), who stay a point ahead of Swift Current for first overall.
Taylor Ross and Dylan Cozens found the back of the net for the Hurricanes (32-28-6), losers of three straight.
Brody Willms made 27 saves for Moose Jaw as Logan Flodell turned away 33 shots for Lethbridge.
The Warriors went 3 for 6 on the power play while the Hurricanes were 1 for 4 with the man advantage.

RAIDERS 4 OIL KINGS 2
PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Curtis Miske and Max Martin scored 14 seconds apart in the second as the Raiders beat Edmonton for their seventh win in a row.
Regan Nagy and Parker Kelly also scored for Prince Albert (30-25-11), which got 13 saves from Ian Scott.
David Kope and Colton Kehler replied for the last-place Oil Kings (19-40-8). Josh Dechaine kicked out 26 shots in defeat.

BRONCOS 3 HITMEN 2
SWIFT CURRENT, Alta. — Aleksi Heponiemi set up two goals before scoring the eventual winner at 2:19 of the third to lift the Broncos over Calgary.
Tyler Steenbergen and Glenn Gawdin also scored for Swift Current (47-14-6), which sits one point behind Moose Jaw for first in the standings. Stuart Skinner made 26 saves for the win.
The Hitmen (20-36-10) offence came from Jakob Stukel and Tristen Nielsen. Nick Schneider stopped 35 shots in a losing cause.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Skyler McKenzie scored a hat trick and Cody Glass chipped in with three assists as Portland improved to 7-0-1 in its last eight with a win over the Cougars.
Henri Jokiharju, Lukus MacKenzie, Lane Gilliss and Kieffer Bellows also scored while Cole Kehler made 18 saves for the Winterhawks (42-20-5).
Connor Bowie kept Prince George (23-36-8) from behing blanked. Taylor Gauthier allowed six goals on 31 shots to take the loss.

KELOWNA, B.C. — Tyler Benson scored at 3:56 of overtime as Vancouver dealt the Rockets their fifth loss in a row.
Owen Hardy, Ty Ronning and Alex Kannok Leipert also scored for the Giants (34-23-9). David Tendeck made 35 saves for the victory.
Carsen Twarynski paced Kelowna (38-22-7) with two goals while Erik Gardiner had the other. James Porter turned away 32 shots in a losing cause.

VICTORIA — Eli Zummack scored twice and Hudson Elynuik had a goal and two helpers as Spokane toppled the Royals.
Luke Toporowski and Kailer Yamamoto also scored for the Chiefs (39-22-5). Dawson Weatherill earned the win with 27 saves.
Tyler Soy scored both Victoria (37-25-6) goals. Griffen Outhouse stopped 26-of-29 shots in defeat.
