EDMONTON — Trey Fix-Wolansky sparked the comeback and assisted on Colton Kehler’s winner 18 seconds into overtime as the Edmonton Oil Kings snapped a five-game slide, beating the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Fix-Wolansky put his team on the board at 9:09 of the second period before setting up three more goals as Edmonton scored four straight to erase a 3-0 deficit. Kobe Mohr and Tomas Soustal also had goals for the Oil Kings (19-37-8).
Zach Huber, Jake Kryski and Jakob Stukel built up a three-goal lead for the Hitmen (19-35-9).
Josh Dechaine made 26 saves for Edmonton as Nick Schneider turned aside 25 shots for Calgary.
The Oil Kings went 2 for 6 on the power play while the Hitmen went 0 for 2 with the man advantage.

RED DEER, Alta. — Mason McCarty scored in regulation, then added the shootout winner as the Rebels dealt Kootenay its sixth straight defeat.
Alex Morozoff, Reese Johnson and Chris Douglas also scored for Red Deer (24-28-13), which got 27 saves from Riley Lamb.
Colton Kroeker, Michael King, Colton Veloso and Brett Davis supplied the offence for the Ice (25-37-4). Matt Berlin made 13 saves in a losing effort.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Luc Smith scored twice and tacked on an assist as the Blazers toppled Vancouver.
Connor Zary, Ryley Appelt and Brady Reagan also scored while Dylan ferguson stopped 30 shots for Kamloops (29-32-5).
Ty Ronning was the lone Giants (32-22-9) skater to beat Ferguson. David Tendeck kicked out 31 shots in a losing cause.
