WHL Roundup: Silvertips take 3-1 lead with win over Winterhawks

PORTLAND, Ore. – Wyatte Wylie scored the go-ahead goal 18:48 into the third period as the Everett Silvertips rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Portland Winterhawks in Game 4 Thursday, taking a commanding lead in their Western Hockey League playoff series.

Garrett Pilon tied the game less than a minute before Wylie’s winner. Connor Dewar had the other goal for Everett in the first period.

The Silvertips lead the best-of-seven, second-round series 3-1 and host Game 5 on Friday night.

Brendan De Jong and Henri Jokiharju scored for the Winterhawks.

Everett goaltender Carter Hart made 42 saves. Portland’s Cole Kehler stopped 23 shots.
