WHL: Skinner makes 32 saves, Broncos blank Silvertips

EVERETT, Wash. – Stuart Skinner has his team one win away from being crowned Western Hockey League champions.

Skinner made 32 saves for his fifth shutout of the post-season as the Swift Current Broncos blanked the Everett Silvertips 1-0 on Wednesday in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series.

Colby Sissons supplied the game’s only goal at 14:35 of the second period, helping to give Swift Current a 3-1 lead in the matchup.

Carter Hart turned aside 18 shots for Everett.

The Broncos went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Silvertips failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

Game 5 stays in Everett with a 2-3-2 format for the series. The Broncos can win it all on Friday.
