Remember that passionate Arizona Coyotes fan, Ronda Pearson, who made headlines this week after ripping Glendale mayor Jerry Weiers and his fellow city councillors after they voted to end a 15-year arena lease agreement with the NHL club?
Well, she’s back in the spotlight after tasing Weiers on Saturday afternoon…Don’t worry, it was consensual, supervised and done to raise money for charity.

Earlier this week, Weiers offered the public a chance to tase him if someone raised at least $10,000 to donate to a local charity. After Pearson’s rant went viral, a crowdfunding effort took place to ensure it was her that got the chance to pull the trigger, literally. A number of donors raised money, but the $10,000 target wasn’t met until a last-minute anonymous donation of several thousand dollars.

Mayor Weiers was examined and given medical clearance prior to the tasing. According to Arizona’s 12 News (provider of the video below), Weiers is doing okay after being tased.
The tasing took place during a Community Supporting Cops event at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale. The money raised will go to the 100 Club of Arizona, which supports families of police officers who are injured or killed in the line of duty.
