The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Nick Henry to a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced on Friday.

Henry, 19, was selected by the Avs in the fourth round (94th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft and has split the 2018-19 season in the WHL between the Regina Pats and Lethbridge Hurricanes due to a mid-season trade. He’s combined for 83 points this season, good for seventh in the WHL, and his 59 assists are third league-wide.

The Portage la Prairie, Man., native has totalled 73 goals and 193 points in 187 career WHL games for Lethbridge and Regina. Henry had five goals and two assists in five games for the Pats during the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup, helping the hosts advance to the final.
