Avalanche’s Nikita Zadorov out indefinitely with facial injury

Colorado Avalanche defenceman Nikita Zadorov is out indefinitely after suffering a facial injury against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.

Nikita Zadorov is out indefinitely after taking a puck to the face, per Jared Bednar.

Bednar says Zadorov went to the hospital today and that the team will keep their six defensemen before calling up personnel from the Eagles. #Avs

Zadorov played just over seven minutes and had eight shifts before leaving the game.

He has a goal and two assists in 15 games this season — his fifth with the Avalanche.

In other Colorado injury news, forward Nathan MacKinnon is expected to play on Saturday night after also getting hurt against the Predators.
