Colorado Avalanche defenceman Tyson Barrie will return to the lineup on Tuesday after missing the previous 13 games with a hand injury.

Barrie fractured his hand on Dec. 23 when he blocked a shot during the Colorado’s 6-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

In his absence, the Avalanche went 10-3-0 including a 10-game winning streak between Dec. 29 and Jan. 22, but Colorado has dropped their last two games since the Montreal Canadiens snapped the streak.

The 26-year-old was on pace to have his best season in his seven-year career putting up 27 points in 34 games, six of which came in the past five games prior to the injury.

He will look to help the Avalanche get back in the win column on the road against the struggling Vancouver Canucks who are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games.
