Chicago Blackhawks forward Drake Caggiula has been suspended for one game for an illegal check to the head on Edmonton Oilers forward Tyler Ennis, the department of player safety announced on Sunday.

Mid-way through the second period, Ennis attempted to clear a loose puck from the Oilers’ zone. His head dropped during the release of his shot and Caggiula followed through on a hit, driving his shoulder into Ennis’ chin.

Ennis left the game but returned for the third period.
