Blackhawks’ Jonathan Toews to donate $100K to COVID-19 response fund

Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews has committed to donating $100,000 to a COVID-19 response fund in Chicago.

The Blackhawks announced that the donation to the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund will be made through Toews’s personal foundation.

The fund intends to help the most vulnerable citizens of the Chicago area though nonprofit organizations that act in the areas of public health, social and economic consequences of the new coronavirus.
