The Chicago Blackhawks will be without Jonathan Toews for their game against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday as he is set to miss his sixth straight game.

The 28-year-old was originally injured on Nov. 23 in a game against the San Jose Sharks and has missed all of Chicago’s games since then with a back injury.

Toews did not travel with the team on their latest road trip, and, according to head coach Joel Quenneville, Toews is “not getting better.”

During the five games without Toews, the Blackhawks went 3-1-1 and are sitting three points up on the St. Louis Blues at the top of the Western Conference.

In 21 games this season, Toews’ four goals and eight assists have him seventh on the team in scoring.
