Blackhawks sign defenceman Lucas Carlsson to three-year contract

The Chicago Blackhawks signed defenceman Lucas Carlsson to a three-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Carlsson, 20, was selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He had a a career-high 17 points in 44 games with Brynäs IF of the Swedish Hockey League this past season, scoring seven goals and adding 10 assists.
