Blackhawks sign forward Dominik Kubalik to entry-level contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Czech forward Dominik Kubalik to a one-year, entry-level contract that will pay him $925,000 next season.

Kubalik, 23, was acquired by the Blackhawks in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings in January. He had six goals and 12 points in 10 games for the Czech Republic at the 2019 World Championships.

This season, Kubalik skated with HC Ambri-Piotta in Switzerland’s National League, where he had 25 goals and 57 points in 50 games.

He was originally a seventh-round pick by the Kings in 2013.
