Blackhawks sign forward Mark McNeill to one-year contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Mark McNeill to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.

McNeill’s new deal is worth $600,000 at the NHL level.

McNeill totalled a team-high 25 goals and 48 points in 64 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League in 2015-16.

The Blackhawks selected McNeill 18th overall at the 2011 NHL Draft.
