The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without their captain Nick Foligno for Game 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday due to a lower-body injury.
The absence of Foligno comes as the Blue Jackets try to stave off elimination, down 3-1 in the first-round series. Scott Hartnell will slide back into the lineup as a replacement.
Foligno, like the Blue Jackets, got off to a slow start this post-season, registering just two assists and a minus-3 rating through four games. During the past regular season, he was a catalyst for the Columbus offence, scoring 26 goals and 25 assists.
Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella will have to find a way to make up for the 20:24 of ice time his 29-year-old captain was averaging.
