Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the club, though The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline reports that the deal carries a $1.633-million cap hit. Harrington is coming off a two-year deal that carried a $675,000 yearly cap hit.
The former Toronto Maple Leaf and Pittsburgh Penguin enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2018-19, posting 17 points through 73 games while averaging 13:03 minutes per game.
Harrington was originally drafted 54th overall by Pittsburgh in 2011. The 26-year-old has suited up for 152 total games at the NHL level, posting 26 total points over that span.
