Korpisalo has been out of the lineup since suffering a knee injury on Dec. 29 against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 25-year-old has missed the last 24 games but in that time the Blue Jackets have been able to remain in the playoff hunt as they are tied with the Islanders and Hurricanes who hold the final wild-card spots with 74 points.
In 32 games this season, Korpisalo has a 17-10-4 record, 2.49 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and two shutouts. In a corresponding move, Columbus assigned goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks and forward Calvin Thurkauf to the Monsters.
