Blue Jackets sign Harrington, Broadhurst, Tynan

After some shop talk about plane ownership, President of the Columbus Blue Jackets John Davidson explains why the Columbus Blue Jackets surprised many by picking Pierre-Luc Dubois third overall instead of Jesse Puljujarvi.

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed a trio of players to one-year, two-way deals on Monday.

Defenceman Scott Harrington, formerly of the Toronto Maple Leafs, was acquired by Columbus on June 25 in exchange for Kerby Rychel. The 23-year-old spent one year in Toronto, skating in 15 games with the Maple Leafs to start the season followed by 17 games with the AHL Marlies. He has registered one assist and 8 penalty minutes in 25 career NHL games between the Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
