Blue Jackets’ Tortorella undergoes procedure to remove skin cancer growth

Columbus Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella told reporters Wednesday that he had a procedure to remove a skin cancer growth on his forehead.

Tortorella called Tuesday’s procedure “relatively minor.”

The coach was absent from Tuesday’s practice, but was back with the team Wednesday and is not expected to miss any games.
