Blue Jackets’ Zach Werenski to miss four weeks with shoulder injury

Zach Werenski left the game with a shoulder injury after this collision with Anders Lee.

Columbus Blue Jackets defenceman Zach Werenski will miss the next four weeks with a shoulder injury.

Werenski suffered the injury early in Saturday’s game against the New York Islanders are colliding with Islanders captain Anders Lee. The 22-year-old skated straight to the bench after the collision, favouring his left shoulder, and did not return to the game.

Werenski had off-season surgery on the same shoulder in July.

The eighth overall pick from the 2015 NHL Draft leads all Blue Jackets defencemen in goals (six) and points (16).
