The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Zach Sanford to a two-year contract worth $1.5 million per season, the team announced Monday.
Sanford and the Blues will avoid going to arbitration after the forward elected for a hearing on July 5.
In 60 regular season games, the 24-year-old had eight goals and 20 points while adding a goal and four points in eight post-season matches.
The Salem, Mass., native was selected in the second round (61st overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2013 NHL Draft. In 99 career NHL games, Sanford has 12 goal and 28 points.
