St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist has been suspended one game for his dangerous hit on the Boston Bruins‘ Matt Grzelcyk, the league’s department of player safety announced Thursday.
The incident in question came late in the first period of Game 2 of the two clubs’ Stanley Cup Final series, when Sundqvist caught Grzelcyk with a high hit from behind, appearing to connect with the Boston defender’s head.
Sundqvist was handed a boarding minor for the incident. He’ll miss Game 3 of the series, which goes Saturday in St. Louis.
