Braden Holtby expects to play Game 4 for Capitals

Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz comments following Game 3 between the Washington Capitals and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Braden Holtby is expected to be in goal Wednesday night when the Washington Capitals try to sweep the Philadelphia Flyers in their first round playoff series.

The Capitals goaltender left practice on Tuesday favouring his left knee after colliding with a teammate.

Holtby has been an instrumental part of Washington’s success so far this post-season. The 26-year-old has a 0.67 goals-against average, .978 save percentage and one shutout for the Capitals, who have a 3-0 series lead.

Sportsnet’s Damien Cox reported on Tuesday that Holtby didn’t appear to have any ill-effects from the collision.
