A scary moment occurred Tuesday night in an AHL game when Brian McGrattan of the San Diego Gulls was knocked unconscious during a fight with Daniel Maggio of the San Antonio Rampage.
McGrattan was hit with a right hand before falling face-first to the ice.
He remained unconscious and had to be stretchered off.
The Gulls tweeted an update that the 34-year-old regained his consciousness and was alert with full movement in the hospital.

Before signing with the Anaheim Ducks organization, McGrattan played 317 games in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames and Nashville Predators.
