Bruins trade Sauve to Blackhawks for Flick

The Boston Bruins traded Maxime Sauve to the Chicago Blackhawks for Rob Flick Wednesday in a deal that swaps Americal Hockey League centres.

Sauve has 23 points in 52 games with the Providence Bruins in the AHL this season.

The 23-year-old appeared in one game with the Bruins last March. The Tours, France, native was selected by the Bruins 47th overall in 2008 and played 121 games with Val d’Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League during his junior career.

Flick, also a centre, has five points with the Rockford IceHogs this season. The London, Ont., native was drafted in the fourth round (120th overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft by the Blackhawks and played three seasons with Mississauga St. Michael’s in the Ontario Hockey League from 2008 to 2011.
