Zdeno Chara and Matt Grzelcyk are game-time decisions for the Boston Bruins ahead of Game 5 against the St. Louis Blues.
Chara sustained a broken jaw after a shot deflected off his stick into his face during the second period of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. The 42-year-old returned to the bench but was not cleared to continue playing.
Grzelcyk returned to practice on Wednesday in a non-contact jersey after being put in concussion protocol following a hit from Oskar Sundqvist in Game 2. He did not travel to St. Louis for Games 3 and 4.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy says it is possible the team goes with seven defencemen for the series’ next tilt.
Puck drop for Game 5 is set for 8:00 pm ET with the series tied at 2-2.
