Boston Bruins defenceman Jeremy Lauzon will have a hearing after delivering a hit to the head on Arizona Coyotes forward Derek Stepan.
The incident occurred late in the first period when Lauzon caught Stepan with a high hit against the boards after the Coyotes centre delivered a pass. Stepan was shaken up on the play but did return during the second period.
Lauzon was assessed a five-minute major and match penalty after a review determined that the 22-year-old caught Stepan with a check to the head. In seven games this season, Lauzon has one goal.
