Bruins’ Matt Beleskey out 6 weeks with knee injury

In the summer of 2016, Matt Beleskey and teammate David Pastrnak traveled to China as part of a Bruins initiative to help grow the game of hockey abroad. He talks about this unique trip and what he learned from the experience.

Boston Bruins forward Matt Beleskey will miss the next six weeks as he recovers from a knee injury.

Beleskey suffered the injury in Saturday’s win in Buffalo after colliding with Sabres defenceman Taylor Fedun.

The 28-year-old had 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists) in 80 games in 2015-16 for the Bruins after signing a five-year, $19-million contract with the team in the summer of 2015.

He has two goals and three assists through 24 games this season.
