After a surprising scratch in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final, Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara will play in Monday’s Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Chara, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury, skated in several practices last week as the Bruins waited for the Western Conference Final to finish.

Forward Brad Marchand sat out of Sunday’s practice for a maintenance day. At Monday’s morning skate, Marchand only stayed on the ice for a few minutes. He is still expected to play in Game 1 on Monday night.

Marchand is second in NHL playoff scoring with seven goals and 18 points. Chara has one goal and three points so far this post-season.
